Jochiwan

A group of Talk Scholars and Korean University students walked down into Jochiwan today because there is nothing to do in the Dormitory where we are staying. It was really cool seeing an actual Korean town instead of being in the dorm. While we were walking around a nice Korean University girl named Hyeseung was talking to me and telling me what all the shops were since most of the signs were (obviously) in Korean. She was really nice.

We also walked through the towns traditional market. In the market there was everything from fresh whole fish, spices, fruit, prepared food, to clothes and electronics. I really hope there is one of these where I end up living. It is much better than fast food and everything is so inexpensive it seems!

Walking toward the town from campus.

The streets are so colorful.

The market with all the fresh food cooking.

More colorfulness, lots of different booths.

A dash of globalization, the second Dunkin' Donuts I have seen here.
